Rayen Cornejo Torres and Berthold Molden, Viena Latina: Documenting the Memory of Latin American Migration to Vienna
We are excited to invite you to the upcoming session of the Vienna Global History Colloquium 2024/25, a bi-monthly event exploring the annual theme of (Im-)Mobilities.
This session will focus on the fascinating history and memory of Latin American migration to Vienna, and we are pleased to welcome you to join the discussion.
Rayen Cornejo Torres and Berthold Molden will present Viena Latina, a participatory project that uncovers and documents the history and memory of Latin American and Caribbean migration to Vienna since 1945. The project gathers migrant experiences, reflects on them in workshops, and shares the outcomes via a digital archive, exhibitions, and public events. It is carried out by the Österreichische Lateinamerika-Institut, Wien Museum and the Academy for Fine Arts Vienna and co-funded by the European Union.
Drinks and snacks will be provided during the event, offering a chance to network and continue the conversation after the presentation.
